NEW YORK, November 27, 2023 — One Strategy Group, a next-generation corporate strategy firm that advises C-suite leaders and growth-focused companies, today announced the appointment of Brian Ellner as its new President. The major hire underscores the firm's commitment to reimagining the role of the strategic corporate advisory by bringing on board some of the industry’s most seasoned talent.
Ellner brings to One Strategy Group a wealth of experience in managing the interconnected worlds of business, politics, media, and communications. His previous leadership roles as U.S. Head of Public Affairs for WPP and U.S. Corporate Affairs Lead for BCW, Head of Public Affairs at Edelman in New York, along with his work in advocacy, have positioned him as a recognized champion for driving purposeful corporate initiatives and executing high-stakes public campaigns.

In his new role, Ellner will lead and manage major client relationships and spearhead the firm's strategic growth.

Ellner’s background includes influential work in enacting marriage equality in New York and shaping the strategy for the passage of the Respect for Marriage Act, The Equality Act and the ERA, recruiting corporations to support their passage. He has received broad recognition for his industry leadership. He was named as a 2023 Notable Leader in Advertising, Marketing & PR by Crain's New York Business; City & State New York called him one of the top 15 key players in the world of New York politics and government, as well as one of the 50 most powerful New Yorkers in communications. In 2015, Brian was awarded ADCOLOR’S Advocate of the Year.
Ellner joins a leadership team that also includes Executive Vice President Everett Rosenfeld, Executive Vice President Sophie Coblence, Vice President Alexis Roberts, and Senior Strategic Advisor Terri Burns.
