Ellen Chan is a senior vice president of digital strategy at One Strategy Group. She has over 15 years of experience focusing on digital marketing and communications across a variety of sectors, including finance, tech, education, and lifestyle.
Prior to One Strategy Group, Ellen held leadership positions at Antler, the world's most active seed investor, where she was the Global Director of Digital Marketing, as well as at Codeword, a WE Communications agency, where she was a Strategy Director for B2B tech clients, managing a team of strategists.
Ellen spent seven years at the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, starting as the communications lead for the SF Fed's education department, and by the end of her tenure was the AVP of Digital Channels, leading a team that included social, web, email, talent marketing, and podcasts. At the SF Fed, she also executive produced the podcast Zip Code Economies, which won three Digital PR News awards.
Before moving to San Francisco, Ellen started her career in New York. There she held a range of marketing and communications roles, which included leading digital marketing for Simon & Schuster's Gallery Books Group and overseeing marketing and operations for podcast network, Quick and Dirty Tips. At Simon & Schuster, she was a recipient of the CBS "Share the Vision" award.
A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and Columbia University, Ellen spent most of her life moving back and forth between Hong Kong and the US—and still considers Hong Kong to be home.
